The Sacramento complex consists of a sequence of alkali basaltic flows, tuffs, breccias, dykes and plugs of Cretaceous age. Near Sacramento the rocks outcrop as bentonitic laterites, but fresh rock obtained by drilling contains leucite and has been described as ugandite and as 'akin to micaceous kimberlite'. It is poorly known.
