A phonolite flow occurring north-northeast of San Pedro is intercalated in Carboniferous calcareous sediments. The rock comprises phenocrysts of sanidine, nepheline and a few of aegirine-augite and amphibole in a groundmass of feldspar and nepheline, partly replaced by an isotropic mineral (?sodalite).
