In the vicinity of N’tondongwe Hill four irregular bodies of metamorphosed carbonate rocks associated with magnetite, and lying within Precambrian biotite gneisses, were reported as being possible carbonatites. These are being investigated by K. Walsh (pers. comm., 2000) who is now calling them the Dande-Doma carbonatites.
