This is a large complex of 35x20 km with essentially three craters. Emplaced in basement gneisses it is overlain by Nubian Sandstone in the southwest. El Fung includes a central area of peralkaline amphibole granite which is nearly completely surrounded by basement and then by an outer swarm of ring-dykes of quartz porphyry. Naser is a circular area of quartz porphyries. Tuddi may form a ring structure but is largely covered by Nubian Sandstone and superficial deposits. The exposed northern part of the intrusion consists of peralkaline amphibole granite with chilled margins of quartz porphyry.
