A circular ring-complex 7-8 km in diameter, Melangweib intrudes Precambrian basement granite, granite gneiss and amphibolite. Earlier olivine gabbro and troctolite are surrounded by a ring of biotite granite which, in turn, is surrounded by rings of biotite and hornblende granite, the latter being the older. Minor albite-riebeckite granite intrudes the biotite granite.
