Between the villages of Dolbel and Kourki a 10x2-3 km granite cutting greywackes of the Birrimien (Eburnian) system is shown on the 1:200,000 geological map of the 'Occidental' area, Niger (Machens, 1967) and classified as one of the 'granites ultimes'. It is symbolized as an aegirine-bearing granite at its northern end and probably aegirine- and amphibole-bearing to the south.
