This occurrence of carbonatite lies approximately 3 km north-northwest of Kapiri Hill (Garson, 1965b). It comprises veins up to eight cm thick of dark brown carbonatite cutting basement dolomitic marble and consisting of goethite, which probably pseudomorphs ankerite or siderite, surrounded by turbid dolomite or ankerite. There is much interstitial fluorite, up to 25% in places, a little calcite and quartz and accessory apatite and possible brookite.
