The Telelele intrusion is located in the southern part of the Nkonjera granite-syenite complex (Thatcher, 1974)), is oval in outline, 2.5x1 km and expressed as a low hill. The rock is coarse and composed of microcline perthite, much interstitial albite, about 30% nepheline, unevenly distributed areas of blue sodalite, patches of biotite and magnetite; sparse amphibole is present in one area of the intrusion and calcite, zircon and titanite are accessory.
