Kalokopon is a trachyte volcano at least 15 km in diameter that is largely concealed beneath flood basalts, lavas from the Namarunu volcano (No. 085-00-013) and Quaternary sediments. The succession includes trachyte flows, some of them feldspar-phyric, and welded tuffs.
