The Asa Ale granite lies beneath ignimbrites northwest of the Nabro volcano (see Bidu No. 6). Barberi et al. (1971b) report that the granite is similar to the internal part of Affara Dara i.e. contains riebeckite.

Age: 
K-Ar on Asa Ale granite gave 22.0 Ma (Barberi et al., 1972a).
