This is an occurrence of peralkaline granite that forms a low, northwesterly-trending ridge of 12x2 km. It is intruded between basement migmatites and syntectonic granites. The rock, which is finer grained nearer the margins, consists of quartz, microcline, albite, biotite, riebeckite and accessory zircon and apatite. The granite is cut by dykes of riebeckite microgranite of a similar mineralogy but also including a little fluorite and magnetite.
