This massif is composed predominantly of peralkaline granites but lens-like isolated bodies of peralkaline syenite occur within them. Small bodies of nepheline syenite, generally 1.2 x 10-15 m but with one body 70 x 80 m, are to be found among the peralkaline syenites. The syenites and granites contain, besides K-feldspar, plagioclase, aegirine, hastingsite and riebeckite. Chemical analyses of the rocks are given by Sharackshinov (1984a).
