Covering 3.6x1 km Sokol is composed of foyaite, juvite and peralkaline syenite. The juvite and foyaite consist of alkali feldspar, nepheline (15-45%), cancrinite (10-40%) and sodalite (up to 30%). The syenites include biotite, pyroxene-biotite, cancrinite and cancrinite-sodalite varieties. Dykes of various compositions occur including pseudoleucite porphyry, nepheline syenite porphyry, spessartite, grorudite and solvsbergite.
