This is a composite volcanic-plutonic complex in which the intrusive rocks are represented by alkaline gabbroids, which are located towards the centre, alkaline syenites, which occur around the periphery, and minor teschenites. The associated volcanic rocks include alkali olivine basalt and some trachytes. The mineralogy typically includes plagioclase, titanaugite and occasionally orthoclase and analcime.

Age: 
Geological evidence indicates Early Cretaceous.
