In the Bikin River basin volcanic fields of alkaline basaltoids form gently sloping hills and are present as lava flows and sills. They overlie lower Miocene coal-bearing strata and are overlapped by clays of Pleistocene age. The basaltoids are considerably metamorphosed. They contain analcime and zeolites.
