A belt of alkaline ultrabasic dykes occurs along the western part of the Azov Sea Coast (Glevassky and Krivdik, 1985). They have chemical compositions identical to jacupirangites, alkaline pyroxenites and gabbroids (of shonkinite type) of the Begim-Chokrak part of the Chernigovskii massif. The dyke rocks are enriched with trace elements typical of alkaline ultrabasic rocks, i.e. Ti, P, Nb and LREE. There are 25 dykes and they form a belt 110 km wide of north-westerly strike which can be traced for over 35 km. The dykes are probably connected with the Chernigovskii carbonatite complex.
