Aegirine syenite was first reported from the Korsun-Novomirgorod pluton by Sobolev (1940) and Tkachuk (1940). It occurs near the villages of Ternovka and Mala'a Smelianka where it forms veins cutting rapakivi granite, monzonite and quartz diorite. Petrographically it is similar to the aegirine syenites of the Korosten pluton (No. 3)
