This sill of metamorphosed lamproite is located in the junction zone of the Ukrainian crystalline shield and the Dnieper-Donetz basin and is related to a deep, north-south-trending fault (lineament) and the peripheral ring fracture of the circular Kirovograd structure. The rock extends over some hundreds of square metres and is a microporphyritic phlogopite-amphibole-pseudoleucite lamproite. The mineralogy is microcline, K-arfvedsonitic and pargasitic amphibole and phlogopite with accessory rutile, Mn-ilmenite (5.3-10% MnO), apatite, titanite and magnetite.

Age: 
A K-Ar determination gave an age of 1370 Ma (Geiko et al., 1991).
