Uzunbulak is a dyke-like intrusion of only 0.8 km2 situated on the southern slope of the Atbashi mountain ridge (Tyan-Shan) where it cuts through Silurian and Devonian schists and limestones. It consists of medium- and coarse-grained cancrinite syenites with small veins of alkaline pegmatite.
