Kainarskii extends for 16 km north-south, has an average width of 7 km and an area of about 100 km2. Both biotite and peralkaline riebeckite and aegirine-riebeckite granites are present with the former being in greater abundance and the latter forming linear, narrow strips parallel to the length of the intrusion and corresponding to fracture zones and zones of intense faulting. A hypabyssal phase is represented by dykes of granite, aplite, quartz syenite porphyry and microdiorite.
