Lying in the southeastern part of the Seward Peninsular at the eastern end of the Darby Mountains, the Windy Creek pluton is a small intrusion consisting mainly of quartz monzonite and monzonite, similar to that of Granite Mountain (No. 6). Boulders of melanite-hornblende foyaite have been found in streams draining the eastern side of the mass.
