The volcanic rocks of the La Perla area of the Sierra de Mestenes are dominantly calc-alkaline, but the Hundido rhyolite, extending in a northwest-southeast-trending area of about 1.5x20 km to the north of La Perla, has a little acmite in the norm (Campbell, 1977, Table 1). The rock generally contains a blue-green amphibole the composition of which has not been determined.
