Lying within the Goroua field of trachyte plugs (No. 7) Kokoumi is a 1.5x2 km volcanic crater-like body the centre of which consists of gabboic rocks and the flanks of riebeckite syenite. The gabbro contains a brown amphibole and alkali feldspar.
