This 17x7 km intrusion of peralkaline syenite is emplaced in basement migmatites. The rock comprises microcline perthite, albite, aegirine-augite, a little biotite and accessory zircon, apatite, titanite and fluorite. A modal and chemical analysis is in Ducellier (1963, p.
Three kilometres south-southwest of Zoungou a small (4x2 km) granite intrusion lies in basement migmatites and schists. The rock is of albite, perthitic microcline, aligned crystals of aegirine-augite, a little biotite and accessory titanite, magnetite and apatite.
Several kilometres south of Yabo an area of about 13x8 km is underlain by syntectonic aegirine-augite-bearing gneiss. The rock consists of equal amounts of microcline and albite, abundant quartz and aegirine-augite. A modal and chemical analysis will be found in Ducellier (1963).
