The Maiorskii peralkaline granite massif extends along the southwestern margin of the huge Permian Talitskii granite pluton and covers about 5 km2. Biotite granites of the southeastern margin of the Talitskii granite are cut by dykes of peralkaline fine-grained granite and granite porphyry. A second small body of peralkaline granite is situated on the northwestern margin of the Talitskii massif and both this and the Maiorskii intrusion are composed of fine-grained, sometimes miarolitic, riebeckite granites.
